Relais Poggio Borgoni awaits you. A beautiful resort, ideal for your holidays in the Tuscan countryside, situated on the lovely hills of the Pesa River, nestled in a charming, blooming garden surrounded by the Chianti vineyards, just a short distance from the art of Florence.
This splendid, fifteenth-century Relais is still drenched in the atmosphere of bygone days, and yet offers the most modern comforts.
Discover the sites of the Florentine Renaissance at a stone's throw from your accommodation and revel in food-and-wine tasting and cultural itineraries, discovering the traditions of the Chianti hills and visiting typical Tuscan villages, such as Radda in Chianti or Greve in Chianti.

At Osteria del Poggio you will have the opportunity to savour our Tuscan specialities prepared for you by our Master Chef, whose experience is enhanced by the quality and freshness of our local products.
In the winter season, you can cosy up by our crackling fireplace, while in summer you can yield to the charm of our romantic panoramic terrace surrounded by green vineyards, rose beds and lavender shrubs.
Season after season, our restaurant serves the flavours and aromas of Tuscan cuisine.
The intimate ambience and the professionalism, courtesy and congeniality of our staff add to the culinary experience that Osteria del Poggio offers its patrons, may they be the guests of the Relais or pleasure-seeking lovers of good food and the exquisite Tuscan cuisine.
In our cellar, beside our Poggio Borgoni wine, we store excellent Chianti and Tuscan products, personally selected with utmost care by the experienced owners.

THE ESTATE

Olive groves and vineyards on the Chianti hills

Our olive groves and vineyards in the heart of Tuscany and the Chianti Classico region are the agricultural endowment of the Poggio Borgoni Estate, where expert agronomists and oenologists tend daily to the production of our wines.
Just like the Relais and Osteria del Poggio, the Poggio Borgoni farming estate also boasts ancient origins. Indeed, it ensues from the union of the lands of the Bishops of Florence with the estate of the Borromeo family, the important Milanese dynasty that moved to Tuscany and the Chianti region in the sixteenth century.
This blend of Italian traditions contributed to the agricultural, artistic and cultural growth of the Poggio district.
Today as in the past, the climate and favourable exposure are complemented by the careful attention bestowed on our agricultural products, bringing forth our excellent Chianti Classico wine and Tuscan oil. On request, the Poggio Borgoni estate organises tastings of wine and oil produced on Tuscan soil.

WHERE TO FIND US

From Milan and Rome:
Exit from the A1 motorway at Florence-Impruneta. Take the Superstrada towards Siena and exit at San Casciano V.P. Take the Via Cassia (SR2) towards San Casciano and after you have passed the town 2 kms on the left you will see the Relais Poggio Borgoni entrance.

From the Amerigo Vespucci Airport in Florence - 28 kms:
Exit from the airport taking the motorway towards Rome, at the Firenze Nord junction, take the A1 motorway towards Rome, and exit the A1 motorway at Florence-Impruneta. Take the Superstrada towards Siena and exit at San Casciano V.P. Take the Via Cassia (SR2) towards San Casciano and after you have passed the town, 2 kms on the left you will see the Relais Poggio Borgoni entrance.

From the Galileo Galilei Airport in Pisa - 74 kms:
Exit from the airport taking the S.G.C. Fi-Pi-Li motorway for 60 kms and exit at Ginestra Fiorentina, Turn RIGHT ON SP12 towards Cerbaia and follow the directions to San Casciano. Once in San Casciano follow the directions for Siena on the Via Cassia. After you have passed the town, 2 kms on the left you will see the Relais Poggio Borgoni entrance.
